Our paper "Psychiatric Symptoms and Diagnoses Among U.S. College Students: A Comparison by Race and Ethnicity" was recently published in the peer-reviewed journal Psychiatric Services!
The book Sociocultural Issues in Psychiatry: A Casebook and Curriculum, edited by Nhi-Ha Trinh and Justin Chen and published by Oxford University Press, is now available wherever books are sold. By translating theory into practice, this work endeavors to deepen readers’ cross-cultural mental health knowledge and skills to enhance clinical care of diverse patient populations.

Dr. Cindy Liu serves as Director of the CCCSEW's Research Committee. She leads the Developmental Risk and Cultural Resilience Program, which examines the role of stress and culture on the mental and emotional health of children and families.
Current Research
Our Director of Research, Dr. Cindy Liu, recently published a paper in September 2018 that gaining significant media traction from sources such as the Boston Globe, ABC News, and Inside Higher Ed. Center co-founder Dr. Justin Chen is also a co-author. The challenges faced by college students today are increasingly divergent from decades ago, and this paper attempts to capture their current state of vulnerability.
