Xiaoqiao Zhang, MSW
Xiaoqiao Zhang, MSW, is a second-year doctoral candidate at Pennsylvania State University in Lifelong Learning and Adult Education and Comparative International Education. Xiaoqiao understands deeply the international student experience, as she herself moved from China for her studies. She has also worked as an international recruiter within multiple admission offices over the past five years. She has earned her undergraduate degree from Wilkes University in Broadcasting and Public Relations, and went on to receive an MSW in Social Enterprise Administration from Columbia University. At Columbia, she had the opportunity to intern with the Executive Director of a non-profit organization and worked closely with a diverse group of individuals throughout the New York City region. Her research interest is in the dilemmas of “fitting in” for Chinese international students studying in the United States.
