Kimberly A. Truong, PhD
Kimberly A. Truong is the Executive Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at the MGH Institute of Health Professions and Adjunct Lecturer on Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She earned a Ph.D. in higher education at the University of Pennsylvania where she conducted research on the experiences of doctoral students of color with racism and how they coped and responded to racial trauma. In her role as an administrator, Dr. Truong has sought to understand some of the barriers diverse students face in graduate education, including racism, classism, heterosexism, and xenophobia. She provides more intentional opportunities for students to engage cross-culturally and cross-racially. She seeks ways to improve students' experiences by promoting mental health and well-being.
