Justin A. Chen, MD, MPH

Justin A. Chen, MD, MPH, is a psychiatrist at Massachusetts General Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, where he also serves as Associate Director of Medical Student Education in Psychiatry. His clinical and academic work focuses on cross-cultural psychiatry, stigma, and mental health disparities. As Co-Founder and Executive Director of the MGH Center for Cross-Cultural Student Emotional Wellness, Dr. Chen gives talks and leads trainings for parents, clinicians, and educators throughout the country on promoting the emotional health and psychological resilience of diverse student populations. Dr. Chen received his BS and MD degrees from Yale and his Master of Public Health in Clinical Effectiveness from Harvard. He completed his adult psychiatry residency at the combined Massachusetts General Hospital/McLean Hospital training program.
