Esther Kim, M.Ed

Esther Kim identifies as a second-generation Korean American woman, and she received her B.A. in American Studies and Child Development at Tufts University. During her sophomore year of college, Esther took an Asian American Studies course that sparked her passion for lifting up Asian American histories and supporting young people in their own journeys of intersectional identity development and empowerment. Some of Esther’s past experiences include co-coordinating the Chinese Progressive Association Boston’s Chinese Youth Initiative summer program as a 2014 Seeding Change Fellow, and writing her family oral history. After graduating from college, Esther moved to South Korea for two years and worked with the Fulbright Korea Commission’s English Teaching Assistant program in various teaching and administrative roles. Esther received her Masters in Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education in May 2018 for Prevention Science & Practice (Counseling strand), and is pursuing a second year of study via the Certificate of Advanced Study (C.A.S.) in Counseling program. Esther plans on supporting and advocating alongside young people in school settings as a school adjustment counselor.
