Annie S. Li, MD

Dr. Annie S. Li, MD is a board certified General and Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and is Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York. She received her medical degree from Albert EInstein College of Medicine and went on to complete her general psychiatry residency at New York Presbyterian - Weill Cornell  Medical Center and her child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the combined New York Presbyterian Hospital - Columbia University Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medical Center Program. She blends her collective interest in trauma/stress-related disorders and cultural psychiatry into her everyday work as a pediatric emergency psychiatrist in the emergency room, and explores the intersection of significant life events on child and adolescent development. As an immigrant herself, she is focused on understanding how immigration and acculturation can impact emotional and mental well being in children and adolescents. Actively involved in advocacy work, Dr. Li has collaborated with local organizations such as the New York NAMI chapter and the Chinese American Family Alliance for Mental Health on community events and is a board member of the New York Council on Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. In 2018, she co-founded and became co-chair of the Asian Caucus in the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Outside of her role as a psychiatrist and advocate, Dr. Li also navigates the adventures of motherhood with two young children, and is delighted to be part of the MGH CCCSEW.
