Amie Kang, M.Ed

Amie Kang, M.Ed immigrated to the United States from Korea and grew up in Orange County, California, where she noticed a lack of support for the struggles that Asian Americans uniquely experience as immigrants and international students. After graduating from UC Berkeley with a degree in psychology in 2014, she worked as a teacher and mentor until she moved to Boston in 2016 to complete her master's in Human Development and Psychology at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She currently researches mental health-related topics at the Harvard Medical School and is planning to pursue a Ph.D. to develop her skills as a researcher and practitioner.

Amie believes in the beauty and strength of Asian families, and her passion is to equip family members of different generations and cultures with tools for healthy communication. She is also part of a non-profit organization called Mustard Seed Generation that strives to bring healing to the Korean community through the church.
